Sometimes we take a battering here in jolly old Redcar but it does not dampen the spirits of Redcar`s hardy people.

 

Redcar clock built in 1913 as a memorial to King Edward VII and to this day still the focal point of the town. A popular place to meet friends on your way for a night out.

Redcar even has its own resident penguins, they reside here all year round. They never seem to mind what the weather chucks at them

Redcar is the home of the worlds oldest lifeboat the" Zetland",she is over 200 years old and has saved over 500 lives. A visit to the Zetland Museum on the sea front is well recommenced.

Local fishermen land the the mornings catch, this will consist of crabs,lobster cod,whiting .And the occasional ling.
