This is a series of shots from a recent trip to the NYMR shot near the Viaduct over the river Esk
the image below shows the engine emerging beneath the viaduct over which the Scarborough to Whitby line once ran.
Some of these images are from my visit to Grosmont engine sheds, must say a big thank you for making me welcome

Driver of the Sir Nigel Gresley reversing to fill up her tender
in preparation for the run to Goathland at 10.30 got me geography a bit wrong there not Whitby.

Oil and Grease, the amount of behind the scenes work just to get these engines ready for a days work is quite astounding.

On the footplate the billycan keeps warm awaiting it`s cosumption from the thirsty driver.
